Dorian was initially produced by MB Artists as a staged reading at "Arcade" in Culver City, Los Angeles, spring of 1999. A promotional CD cast recording was compiled using the "Arcade" cast. (cast list) In the fall of 1999 a more fully realized presentation was produced in association with Berwood and Rocklee Productions in the John Bradley Theatre of The Los Angeles Theatre Center. (cast list) In the spring of 2001 a staged reading was presented at The Lambs Theatre in New York City (cast list). On September 17, 2002 Dorian received its World Premiere at the Denver Center for the Performing Art's Buell Theatre as a co-production with Randy Weeks and Denver Center Attractions. (cast list)

In the spring of 2003, a revised Dorian was workshopped in New York at the Ford's Center for the Performing Arts. (cast list)

The NoHo Arts Center will present the West Coast Premiere of on October 8, 2004 in North Hollywood, California.

Dorian was conceived and directed by James J. Mellon with a book by Mr. Mellon and Duane Poole, music and lyrics by Mellon and Scott DeTurk.
 
   
MB ARTISTS
Is a Los Angeles based production company formed by partners Kevin Bailey and James J. Mellon. The company develops feature film, television and theatrical productions worldwide. MB Artists has produced or been part of teams that created the feature film "Bird Of Prey" and the theatrical productions "An Unfinished Song," "A God in the House" and "Little Miss Jones." In addition to Dorian, MB Artists is currently developing a new music/drama series entitled Comeback, the feature films KidsAlong and Becoming Margo and a new musical based on the novel Lizard by Dennis Covington.
